I first spotted Wendy’s work (online since I didn’t see it in person) in a group show at Sixspace titled There Goes The Neighborhood.
I’m happy to welcome her to the ArtCat family. Check out her new website. I’m proud to announce that this is how her site looks 48 hours after she signed up. I like to think it’s a combination of ArtCat’s ease (including the new help website) and Wendy’s enthusiasm.

I need help finding a designer for ArtCat. I’m planning to bring everything under one roof — web hosting, calendar (ArtCal), and possibly an artist-driven zine. I need help with branding, information architecture and design.
You can tell from what exists now, including bloggy, that I’m a minimalist. I don’t expect it to be free. I’m willing to pay for something I really like, but I’ve had trouble finding someone whose aesthetic matches mine, and has awesome CSS skills.
I would prefer someone in NYC, but if I found someone good that could do this all via phone and internet, that’s a possibility.

ArtCat has a new artist client, and this time it’s one from Florida. My first non-NYC area artist!

I upgraded to the latest version of Movable Type and re-designed. Did you notice? Send e-mail or add a comment if you see anything broken. The search results page is ugly, I know.

I have a new gallery client for my ArtCat web hosting system — Oliver Kamm 5BE. There isn’t a lot of content there yet, but most of the artist pages are up now.

To give you a feel for how flexible my hosting system can be, both that and
are running the same software, with minor changes to HTML, CSS, and a bit of Flash in the case of Foxy Production.

Sorry to be commercial here, but I wanted to announce that the sites I host on ArtCat (see clients list) now have RSS feeds. As the galleries and artists add news items, or works (artists) or exhibitions (galleries), you’ll see new info in the feed.
What’s RSS you ask? This is a good link that explains it. I use RSS feeds and www.bloglines.com to keep up with 98 different web sites — mostly blogs.
